Why We Built Cognitive AI Institute

Cognitive AI Institute was founded to bridge the widening gap between technological advancement and human capability. While most AI programs focus on tools or theory, our mission is to build human intelligence for an AI-driven world, where critical thinking, communication, and applied understanding define true readiness.

The Institute was created by Subrata Chatterji, an MIT Sloan–trained AI Strategist and former Silicon Valley executive, whose vision is to make AI education practical, ethical, and inclusive. His global experience, spanning technology leadership, corporate strategy, and academic collaboration, shapes CAII’s distinct approach: connecting AI, human judgment, and communication to prepare leaders, educators, and professionals for the future of work.

"AI should empower human judgment, not replace it.
At CAII, we teach people how to think with AI, not just use it."
- Subrata Chatterji, Founder, Cognitive AI Institute

The same philosophy that drives our academic and internship programs also guides our corporate collaborations, helping organizations apply AI with intelligence, integrity, and purpose.
